The British Royal Navy has completed the maiden flight of the Leonardo Proteus, a full-size autonomous helicopter designed for Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASuW) and other missions. The Royal Navy aims to integrate Proteus into its maritime aviation transformation vision, leveraging autonomy to enhance effectiveness in complex environments.

The UK has awarded MBDA UK a £316 million contract to deliver DragonFire laser weapon systems to the Royal Navy from 2027. Following successful trials, the system destroyed high-speed drones at speeds of up to 650 km/h.
