Rocket Production

Firefly Aerospace has announced plans to automate composite rocket production with Ingersoll Machine Tools' Automated Fiber Placement (AFP) Mongoose Hybrid systems. The first system will be installed at its Texas facility in May 2021, followed by a second automated assembly line in Florida Space Coast beginning in 2022.
