Volaris and Viva have announced plans to form a new Mexican airline group by combining operations under a holding company structure. Despite the merger, both airlines will maintain their distinct brands and operate independently.

Republic Airways has successfully completed its merger with Mesa Air Group, creating the second-largest regional airline in the United States. The combined entity brings together over 8,000 aviation professionals and operates the world's largest Embraer jet fleet with 310 aircraft.
