Transavia, the low-cost carrier subsidiary of Air France-KLM, has appointed Paul Terstegge as its new CEO, effective February 1, 2026. Terstegge, currently KLM's Executive Vice President of Inflight Services, brings extensive aviation industry experience and strategic expertise from across the Air France-KLM Group.

KLM has retired its first Boeing 737-800, marking a significant milestone in the Dutch carrier's €7 billion fleet modernization program. The aircraft was delivered to Twente Airport in the Netherlands for dismantling and recycling, with engines and components salvaged for reuse across KLM's operations and the broader aviation industry.
