Azores Spaceport Gets First License for Commercial Spacecraft Re-Entry
The Portuguese National Space Authority has granted the first license in Europe for a controlled commercial spacecraft re-entry from Low Earth Orbit to European territory. The Azores Spaceport Consortium, run by OPTIMAL Structural Solutions and Ilex Space, will enable ATMOS Space Cargo's reusable orbital transfer and return vehicle, PHOENIX 2.
