US President Donald Trump helped secure commercial aircraft orders from three Central Asian airlines at the C5+1 Summit in Washington DC. Air Astana agreed to purchase up to 15 Boeing 787 Dreamliners, while Somon Air committed to place its largest-ever order for Boeing 737 MAX 8 jets and 787-9s.

Qanot Sharq Airlines has become the first Airbus A321XLR operator in Central Asia after taking delivery of its brand-new aircraft. The airline is utilizing its fleet of XLRs to expand its international route network and service key markets across Asia.
