beOnd, a luxury airline with initial operations in the Maldives, has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Bahrain's Civil Aviation Affairs (CAA) to explore obtaining an Air Operator Certificate (AOC). The airline plans to base up to 10 aircraft in Bahrain by 2030, creating over 1,200 direct and 6,000 indirect jobs.

AirAsia X announced plans to establish Bahrain as its first hub outside Asia, connecting Southeast Asia with the Middle East and Europe through a new route to London. The Malaysian low-cost carrier has emerged from one of aviation's most challenging periods with renewed focus and financial discipline, backed by an order book of 374 aircraft.
