ZeroAvia has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hybrid Air Vehicles to develop a zero emission, hydrogen-powered version of the Airlander 10. The partnership aims to achieve an emissions reduction of up to 90% compared to similar capacity aircraft.
ZeroAvia has secured funding from investors including Barclays Climate Ventures and Breakthrough Energy Ventures to power the next phase for the company. The British-US technology firm will continue to industrialize its hydrogen power and propulsion technology for the aviation and defense markets.
ZeroAvia has been awarded €21.4m by the EU Innovation Fund to develop a hydrogen-electric aircraft network in Norway. The project will support the retrofit of 15 Cessna Caravan aircraft with ZeroAvia's ZA600 engines and establish hydrogen refuelling and storage infrastructure at 15 airports.
