SWISSto12, a Swiss satellite maker, has secured €73 million in funding from the European Space Agency (ESA) to support its industrial rollout plan. The company manufactures small geo-stationary satellites and lightweight radio-frequency systems using patented 3D technologies.
Riyadh Air has partnered with Neo Space Group to provide inflight Wi-Fi for its Airbus A321neo fleet, starting Q4 2026. The service will offer speeds of up to 300 Mbps using HBC+ hardware and a Thinkom Ka2517 antenna.
Lufthansa Group is set to roll out SpaceX's Starlink satellite-based internet connectivity across its entire fleet by 2029. The airline group will initially continue to offer its existing FlyNet service, but Starlink will be available for free to status customers and Travel ID users.
