Ethiopian Airlines has placed an order for nine additional Boeing 787-9 aircraft, according to an announcement by the US manufacturer. This follows a previous order of 11 787s and 20 737 MAX from Boeing at the 2023 Dubai Airshow.
Ethiopian Airlines has secured multiple aircraft deals at Dubai Airshow, including the acquisition of more Airbus A350 widebodies and the leasing of two ATR 72-600 aircraft to Congo's national carrier Air Congo. The airline also ordered six A350-900s directly with Airbus and signed an agreement with Collins Aerospace for premium business class seating solutions across its fleet.
