MTU Aero Engines

IAE International Aero Engines has reaffirmed its partnership with JAEC, MTU Aero Engines, and Pratt & Whitney in support of the geared turbofan (GTF) architecture for next-generation single-aisle jets. The announcement comes as Pratt & Whitney works to address reliability issues affecting the in-service GTF fleet.

France's Chief of the Defense Staff, General Fabien Mandon, has warned that developing a new fighter engine will be the toughest challenge facing the Future Combat Air System (FCAS). Safran Aircraft Engines leads the engine pillar, with MTU Aero Engines as its main partner.
