Lufthansa-owned Eurowings has appointed Max Kownatzki as its new CEO, following six years leading SunExpress. Meanwhile, Marcus Schnabel will take over as CEO of SunExpress, previously serving as Lufthansa Airlines' Head of Ground Operations in Munich.

Lufthansa Group and International Airlines Group have formally expressed interest in participating as bidders for a minority stake in TAP Air Portugal. The rival Air France-KLM Group has also entered the fray.
