UK-based Vertical Aviation is taking on Archer Aviation and Joby Aviation in New York after announcing plans for its own electric vehicle takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft network in the US's largest city. Collaborating with Bristow Group and Skyports Infrastructure, Vertical Aerospace plans to deliver electric air travel routes in and out of Manhattan and connect airports with key New York sites.

Bristow Group has signed a purchase agreement with Electra.aero for five EL9 ultra short takeoff and landing hybrid-electric aircraft plus options for an additional 45 aircraft. A multi-million-dollar pre-delivery deposit was placed to secure the first delivery slot.

Bristow Group has added up to five Airbus H160 helicopters to its fleet for offshore energy operations in Africa. The aircraft are leased from Milestone Aviation Group and mark the first - and currently only - announcement from Airbus at the Dubai Airshow 2025.
