Admiral Highlights Vulnerability Of Cyber Capabilities In Sustained Operations
The US Navy’s top cyber official, Vice Adm. Heidi Berg, has warned that the ‘cyber magazine’ can be vulnerable to exhaustion in modern conflict. Berg noted that cyber capabilities and bespoke exploit tools are not limitless and can become obsolete once an adversary patches a flaw. The warning comes as the US is engaged in sustained combat operations in cyberspace, including Operation Epic Fury. The issue was discussed at HammerCon, hosted by the Military Cyber Professionals Association, and reported by Breaking Defense.
