Marines Expand Naval Strike Missile Capability
The US Marine Corps has awarded Kongsberg a contract worth up to $404.4 million for full-rate production and support of Naval Strike Missile launchers and fire control systems. The contract covers the Naval Strike Missile Launcher Unit, its Weapon Control System, and related support equipment. Work will take place in Norway and Pennsylvania through September 2034, with funds obligated only as individual orders are placed. The Marine Corps has made the Naval Strike Missile its main long-range anti-ship weapon, and this contract is part of its efforts to expand its capabilities.
