Belgian Air Traffic Controllers Strike Over Night Shift Compensation
More than 800 flights are expected to face disruption at Belgium’s Charleroi Airport due to a prolonged series of overnight strikes by air traffic controllers. The strike, which began on September 16 and is scheduled to last until October 10, centers on a dispute over night-shift compensation. According to Skeyes, the Belgian air navigation service provider, 832 flights could be affected, including 487 morning services and 345 night flights. The strike’s impact may be felt beyond Belgium, as Charleroi Airport is a key hub for low-cost air travel in Europe. This article was first reported by News.az.
