Israeli Aerospace Industries Debuts Air Transportable TAHR
Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has unveiled a new tactical vehicle for Germany’s special forces, marking the first public appearance of the TAHR. The vehicle is based on IAI’s ELTA ZD chassis and produced by Flensburg Technology Systems, a joint venture between IAI and German defense contractor FFG. The TAHR is designed for air transport and rapid deployment, with two vehicles able to be transported inside CH-47 Chinook helicopters. IAI signed a framework agreement to supply up to 200 vehicles to the German Army, with the first pre-series vehicle delivered ahead of schedule. This development was reported by an unknown source.
