Government Accountability Office Finds Vulnerabilities In National Airspace System
The Federal Aviation Administration needs to strengthen its defenses against spectrum-related cyber threats affecting the National Airspace System, according to the Government Accountability Office. The GAO found that the FAA has identified spectrum-related threats, including spoofing and jamming, but lacks comprehensive risk and mitigation assessments. The agency also lacks a defined, real-time capability to monitor and detect all spectrum-related threats.
