European Commission Expands International Partnerships For Secure Connectivity
The European Commission and the Republic of Korea have signed an administrative arrangement to deepen cooperation on secure satellite connectivity, with potential integration with the EU’s IRIS² secure connectivity constellation. This agreement could provide the Republic of Korea with access to the programme’s architecture, while the EU space industry may leverage Korean industrial expertise. A working group will be established to explore joint applications, use cases, and technical solutions for cooperation. The first phase of IRIS² is set to launch by the end of 2029. This development was announced by the European Commission.
