The aviation industry is experiencing a surge in cyber attacks due to its increasing reliance on digital tools and AI. A report by Bridewell, a cyber security partner, found that almost half of surveyed cybersecurity professionals reported an increase in attacks over the last 12 months, with compromised credentials and third-party access being significant vulnerabilities. The industry has seen major data breaches, including a recent incident at Manchester Airports Group, which compromised the personal data of over 8.5 million individuals.
