Airbus Invests in Broughton Site to Meet Growing Demand
Airbus is investing in its UK manufacturing operations to support a sustained increase in commercial aircraft output, with a focus on the A321. The company is converting a former A380 wing production facility at its Broughton site in Wales into a new A321 manufacturing line, which will include six wing production jigs, an equipping line, and a paint shop. The project is part of Airbus’ efforts to increase production capacity and meet growing demand for the A321, which accounts for around 75% of its A320 Family backlog.
