Industry Warns of Reduced Production and Lost Capabilities
Ukraine’s defense manufacturers have called on the Ministry of Defense to ensure the continuity of defense procurement and prevent interruptions in contracting. The industry association, Ukrainian Council of Gunsmiths, warns that a prolonged shortage of domestic contracts could lead to reduced production, loss of engineers, and slower investment in defense technologies. The manufacturers propose uninterrupted contracting, predictable funding, and a clear order plan to enable them to plan production and retain specialists.
