Hanwha Ocean Wins Contract For Indigenous Aegis-Equivalent Warship
South Korea’s Defense Acquisition Program Administration has signed a formal construction contract with Hanwha Ocean for the Korea Destroyer Next Generation, or KDDX, a six-ship program valued at approximately $5.41 billion. The KDDX will feature an Integrated Electric Propulsion System, a domestically developed dual-band phased-array radar, and a Korean-made combat management system.
