Asian Firm Achieves International Standard For High-Purity Rare Gases
POSCO Air Solution has become the first Asian company to acquire an international quality certification for manufacturing high-purity rare gases used in the aerospace and defense industries. The company, an affiliate of POSCO Group, received the AS9100D certification from Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance, enabling it to accelerate the supply of high-purity xenon and krypton used in electric thrusters of artificial satellites and space probes. With a production base in Gwangyang capable of producing 130,000 normal cubic meters annually, POSCO Air Solution aims to strengthen its high value-added gas business.
