South Korean Company Expands Into Aerospace Sector With AS9100D Certification
Posco Air Solution, the industrial gas arm of Posco Group, has become the first company in Asia to achieve AS9100D aerospace and defence quality management certification for the production of high-purity rare gases. The certification, awarded by UK-based assurance company LRQA, is expected to support Posco’s expansion into South Korea’s aerospace sector. The company’s high-purity rare gases production facility at the Donghoan site of its Gwangyang Works steel complex in South Korea has an annual production capacity of 130,000 Nm3.
