Former Spy Satellite To Explore Cosmic Mysteries
NASA has launched the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, a repurposed spy satellite, to explore some of the biggest mysteries of astrophysics and cosmology. The telescope, named after NASA’s first chief astronomer, will capture panoramic views of the universe and investigate cosmic mysteries such as dark energy and dark matter. The mission is planned for five years, although NASA has announced that the telescope may have enough fuel for another five years of operation. The Roman Space Telescope was first reported by Reuters.
