Intelligent Factory To Support Joint Air-To-Surface Standoff Missile Program
Machina has advanced its AI-driven manufacturing platform into missile production with a qualification contract from Lockheed Martin for the Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM) program. The company’s Los Angeles facility produced a structural assembly using an integrated process combining AI-enabled robotic metal forming and precision laser welding. This marks the first time such an assembly has advanced to qualification for a defense missile system. The effort will be supported through Machina Factory 3, a new intelligent manufacturing facility. This development was first reported by ASSEMBLY Magazine.
