Counter-Drone Technology Advances With Universal Sled Mount
The Marine Corps has awarded Epirus an $11 million contract for a counter-unmanned aircraft system (C-UAS) installed on ground vehicles. The High-power Microwave Autonomous Vehicle Operational Capability (HAVOC) system will temporarily incapacitate electronic assets for counter-drone operations. The system features a universal sled mount, allowing it to be paired with various manned and unmanned vehicles. Epirus CEO Andy Lowery highlighted the contract as a demonstration of the Marine Corps’ commitment to integrated, software-defined systems. The contract was awarded through the Navy’s Office of Naval Research, following Epirus’ delivery of the Expeditionary Directed Energy Counter-Swarm (ExDECS) system to the Marine Corps in 2025.
