Huntsville Company To Upgrade Army Helicopter Avionics Systems
Collins Aerospace has been awarded a contract worth up to $472 million to modernize the Army’s Chinook helicopter fleet. The contract, announced during the Space & Missile Defense Symposium in Huntsville, will provide engineering services to deliver avionics upgrades that integrate capabilities more efficiently and address obsolescence. According to Collins Aerospace, the upgrades will strengthen the aircraft’s avionics architecture to support continued mission readiness. The work will be performed in Huntsville and Cedar Rapids, Iowa, as reported by the Huntsville Business Journal.
