Joby Expands Into Defense With Acquisition Of Advanced Radar Systems
Cerberus Capital Management has agreed to sell Resonant Sciences, a developer of advanced radar, navigation, and communications systems for US national security customers, to Joby Aviation. The acquisition will create a dedicated defense business for Joby, with Resonant continuing to operate under its current name. Since Cerberus’ investment in 2023, Resonant has expanded its manufacturing capacity and technical workforce, and broadened its capabilities. The deal is expected to close in the first half of 2027, subject to regulatory reviews, as reported by Pulse 2.0.
