Vietnam’s Bamboo Airways has effectively stopped selling tickets for individual domestic flights due to a significant reduction in its fleet, which has shrunk to just three planes. The airline, which once operated 44 aircraft, is now largely relying on charter flights, including a route between Da Nang and Macau. Passengers are facing long wait times for refunds and unclear flight schedules, with the airline citing financial strain and operational challenges. According to AeroTime, the airline’s difficulties trace back to the 2022 collapse of its parent company, FLC Group, and the imprisonment of its founder on fraud charges.
