Europe Expands Weather Forecasting Capabilities With New Satellite
The Ariane 6 has successfully launched the MTG-I2 satellite, completing Europe’s Meteosat Third Generation constellation. This milestone marks a significant upgrade in weather forecasting capabilities, with the ability to deliver atmosphere imagery every 2.5 minutes. The MTG-I2 satellite will work in tandem with its predecessors to provide enhanced weather forecasting and monitoring capabilities for Europe and northern Africa. The launch was first reported by the European Space Agency (ESA).
