Korean Startup Develops Affordable Counter-Drone Solution
Airability, a Korean startup, has secured KRW 3 billion in funding to develop an AI-enabled swarming-drone interceptor system. The company plans to use its electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft platform to integrate perception, judgment, control, and learning functions, with the goal of completing a system that can autonomously respond to high-threat swarming drones. This project was selected by the Korea Aerospace and Defense Administration’s Scale-up TIPS program, which provides R&D support for three years, as reported by Unknown Source.
