Teledyne FLIR Defence Wins Contract For Chemical Threat Detection Systems
The US Army has awarded Teledyne FLIR Defence a contract worth $11.2m to provide over 45 uncrewed aerial system (UAS) kits for chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) threat detection. The kits, which include the R80D SkyRaider drone equipped with modular sensor payloads, are part of the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Sensor Integration on Robotic Platforms (CSIRP) programme. According to Army Technology, the contract aims to improve frontline hazard assessment and response capabilities in environments with CBRN risks.
