Long-Range Narrowbody Prepares for Summer Debut
United Airlines has taken delivery of its first Airbus A321XLR, a long-range narrowbody aircraft that will play a key role in the airline’s plans to replace Boeing 757s on some international routes and expand its long-haul network. The aircraft, registered N64321, arrived in Tampa, Florida, on June 3, 2026, and is expected to enter service this summer. United has ordered 50 A321XLRs, which will feature a premium-heavy cabin with lie-flat seats and Starlink Wi-Fi. The A321XLR is central to United’s strategy to operate more efficiently on medium-density international routes, and its arrival was first reported by AeroTime.
