Ankara Prepares For High Security NATO Meeting Next Month
Turkey is transforming its capital, Ankara, into a fortress ahead of a North Atlantic Treaty Organization summit next month. The country plans to activate its domestic short- and medium-range missile-defense systems and place its F-16 fleet on high alert during the meeting. Authorities will also deploy drones and anti-drone systems and station over 40,000 security personnel around the city. This effort is part of a broader security push, as reported by Bloomberg.
