Advanced CBRN Sensor Drone Kits For Battlefield Protection
Teledyne FLIR Defense has been awarded an $11.2 million contract by the US Army to deliver advanced CBRN sensor drone kits, designed to strengthen battlefield protection by mapping chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats. The autonomous SkyRaider-based systems will enable dismounted frontline units to rapidly assess contaminated environments without exposing soldiers to harm. According to the Financial Times, the contract is part of the Army’s Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Sensor Integration on Robotic Platforms program.
