German Defense Giant Expands Intelligence Capabilities
Rheinmetall and US imagery provider Vantor have announced a joint venture to provide spatial intelligence to the German military. The new entity will support Germany’s sovereign defense requirements and integrate Vantor’s spatial intelligence platform into Rheinmetall command-and-control systems. The partnership marks Rheinmetall’s third recent collaboration in the military space domain, following announcements with OHB SE and ICEYE. According to Breaking Defense, the joint venture will enable the German military to task, fuse, produce, analyze, and deploy spatial intelligence in sovereign environments.
