Space Agency Expands Earth Observation Capabilities
NASA has awarded a contract for commercial satellite data acquisition, expanding the range of commercial satellite data available to researchers, civil agencies, and decision-makers. The agency selected eight new companies and will acquire new data products from six existing Commercial Satellite Data Acquisition contract holders. The commercial measurements are intended to supplement NASA’s Earth-observing satellites by providing higher-resolution and more frequent observations.
