Fiji Expands Australian Network With New Leisure Route
Fiji Airways has launched its first-ever direct service between Nadi International Airport and Gold Coast Airport, expanding its Australian network to seven destinations. The inaugural flight, which departed Nadi on June 11, 2026, was welcomed with a traditional ceremony. The service will operate three times a week using a Boeing 737 MAX 8, adding over 53,000 seats annually to the market. Fiji Airways CEO Paul Scurrah noted strong early demand for the route, which is expected to boost tourism and connectivity between Fiji, Queensland, and beyond. The launch was first reported by AeroTime.
