Abu Dhabi Carrier Expands Fleet Amid Strong Demand
Etihad Airways is demonstrating its confidence in a successful recovery with a top-up order for extra widebodies. According to Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive of the Abu Dhabi-based carrier, the airline is seeing traffic volumes recover and network wide load factors are 84%. Etihad expects to generate cash to finance growth in 2026 and is adding double-digit extra aircraft to its fleet between now and 2031. This move was reported by Aviation Week.
