Middle East Carrier Sees Return To Pre-War Capacity By June
Etihad Airways is ordering more widebody planes as it expects to return to pre-war capacity levels by June 15, according to CEO Antonoaldo Neves. The airline is buying the planes in the double digits, although the exact number was not disclosed. Etihad had made cuts in March due to the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran, which raised fuel prices. However, the carrier does not plan to trim costs by cutting flights, with Neves stating that the biggest cost is an empty plane. This development was reported by Reuters.
