Carrier Weighs Options Amid Fuel Price Pressures
Ethiopian Airlines is set to decide on an order for 25 smaller commercial jets within the next three months to expand its local network. The carrier, which operates 147 aircraft, is considering the Airbus A220, Embraer E-2, and Boeing 737 MAX 7. The decision comes as Ethiopian Airlines faces higher fuel prices due to the war in Iran, which has led to reduced Middle East flights. According to CEO Mesfin Tasew Bekele, the airline has addressed supply issues but is still grappling with the price of jet fuel, as reported by Reuters.
