US Private Equity Firm Expands Aerospace Portfolio
US private equity firm Arcline Investment Management has acquired Continental Aerospace Technologies from China’s Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) for $535 million. The deal returns Continental, a leading manufacturer of piston aircraft engines, to US ownership after 15 years under Chinese control. The acquisition strengthens Arcline’s growing aerospace and defense portfolio, which already includes Hartzell Aviation. The transaction was reported by AeroMorning.
