Airline Celebrates Team Tribute With Special Livery Aircraft
Virgin Australia has marked a significant milestone with the introduction of its 150th Boeing 737, named ‘Lake Centenary’. The aircraft features a unique tribute to the airline’s team members, with over 8,000 names printed on the overhead lockers. The 737-8 is part of the airline’s ongoing fleet renewal program, which aims to reduce emissions and improve operational efficiency. According to Virgin Australia Group CEO Dave Emerson, fleet renewal is the most effective way to reduce emissions in the near term. The airline plans to take delivery of 12 Boeing 737-8s this year, as reported by AeroTime.
