SPACECOM Leads Multinational Effort To Protect Space Assets
The US Space Command (SPACECOM) and its six closest space-savvy allies are working on a joint plan for conducting future orbital warfare, with the goal of completing it by the end of the year. According to SPACECOM Commander Gen. Stephen Whiting, the plan will integrate capabilities from the participating nations to protect and defend orbital assets. The effort is part of the Multinational Force Operation Olympic Defender (MF-OOD), which involves Australia, Canada, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and the US.
