Turkish Air Force Expands Domestic Defense Capabilities
The Turkish air force has signed a deal to procure 20 indigenous KAAN fighter jets from Turkish Aerospace, with plans for more in the future. The contract marks the first domestic order for the fifth-generation aircraft, following a previous order from Indonesia. Turkish Aerospace is also courting export deals with other countries, including Saudi Arabia. The company showcased various components of the KAAN, including domestically made engines, at the SAHA defense expo. This development was first reported by Breaking Defense.
