Automaker Accused Of Misleading Statements On Electrification Growth
Stellantis N.V. is facing a class action lawsuit from investors who claim the company made false and/or misleading statements about its ability to capitalize on the growing electrification market. The lawsuit, filed in the Southern District of New York, alleges that Stellantis and its executives failed to disclose the true risks and impact of strategic restructuring charges and macroeconomic fluctuations. On February 6, 2026, Stellantis announced a major restructuring effort, resulting in charges of approximately €22.2 billion, which led to a significant decline in the company’s stock price. The lawsuit was first reported by Financial Times.
