Falcon 9 Rocket Sends Broadband Internet Satellites into Orbit
SpaceX has successfully launched 29 new Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit on a Falcon 9 rocket from Florida. The launch, which occurred at 8:57 a.m. EDT on Friday, raised the total count of active Starlink satellites to over 10,400. The Falcon 9 first stage completed its 16th reuse by landing on an autonomous droneship in the Atlantic Ocean. The Starlink network provides access to the internet in areas where other means of connection are scarce, as well as supports in-flight wifi and direct to cell service on some carriers.
