Singapore Carrier Expands Regional Network Amid Growing Demand
Scoot, the Singapore-based low-cost carrier, has placed orders for 11 additional Airbus A320neo family aircraft to expand its regional network. The new jets, powered by Pratt & Whitney GTF engines, will bring Scoot’s total A320neo family orderbook to 20 aircraft. The airline plans to use the new aircraft to launch new services and feed traffic into the broader Singapore Airlines Group network. According to AeroTime, Scoot’s CEO Leslie Thng said travel demand is expected to keep growing in the Asia-Pacific region in the years ahead.
